Night skiing

Night skiing in Tänndalen

When everything else feels black, night skiing lights up the darkness!

There’s something special about standing at the top. The mountain landscape, just a snowball’s throw away—you know it’s there, even if you can’t see it. The twinkling lights from cabins and houses beautifully reveal where the day’s skiers have settled. The cold pinches your cheek in warning. You pull up your ski jacket, let two or three skiers pass, and wait for the silence. The freshly groomed slopes and the lights welcome you as you launch yourself into the night.

We’re excited to announce that our popular disco skiing event is getting even bigger this winter! Previously held only on Fridays, disco skiing will now light up the slopes every night we offer night skiing. Get ready to dance on skis like never before!

Opening hours 2024-2025

- Fridays week 6-13 at 7:00 PM-9:00 PM in Hamra (L10 Hamra Komfort, L11 Barnliften, R3 Rullbandet, L12 Vigelliften).

- Tuesdays week 7-9 at 7:00 PM-9:00 PM in Hamra (L10 Hamra Komfort, L11 Barnliften, R3 Rullbandet, L12 Vigelliften).

The Discolift

During the day, Hamra Komfort is simply a modern six-chair lift. But as darkness slowly falls over Tänndalen, it transforms—donning its disco attire. Music pumps from the speakers, and the valley station lights up in vibrant rainbow colors. Who would have thought that riding a chairlift could be even more fun than skiing downhill?

More illuminated slopes

Night skiing is a popular and cozy experience enjoyed by both young and old. Before last winter, we enhanced the experience even further. We upgraded the existing lighting and installed new lights on four slopes—Renslingan, Hamrasnabben, Renen, and parts of Santa Cruz.
