The history of Tänndalen

Loved by skiers since 1932

Our country has long been a stronghold of cross-country skiing, and when downhill skiing arrived in Sweden in the 1930s, many dismissed it as a passing fad. But history proved the skeptics wrong. Tänndalen, an early adopter of alpine skiing, has since grown into one of Sweden’s most beloved ski destinations.
