Lämmelstigen is an adventure trail for children in the mountains of Tänndalen. Along the trail there are balance boards, huts and animals that have their natural environment in the mountains of Tänndalen. Here you can meet, among other things, a wolverine that farts, mountain lemmings that ride a chairlift and a large, stately musk ox.

Anderssjo A Fallet

Andersjöåfallet

A powerful waterfall that you get really close to via a wooden staircase at the beginning of the hike. Further along the ridge on Blomsterfjället Hamra with very beautiful views.

Starting point: Parking at the Nature Rest Area to Anderssjöåfallet , on the right side 1.2 km west of Tänndalen ski resort .

In less than three hours you get to experience the roaring proximity of the Anderssjöåfallet, open marshlands and views of an entire mountain world. It is a varied trip up the ridge of the flower mountain Hamra. At the start there are tables, benches and a fireplace, perfect for a coffee after the hike.

The steepest part of the climb is carefully arranged in a 303-step series of wooden stairs. Built to follow the stages of the Anderssjöåfallet so closely that you literally pass through the fine spray of the rapids. The tour is easy to walk for anyone who can handle the 300-meter climb. You hike along a path up the ridge of Hamrafjället and over a fenced bog. On the descent, the bare mountain passes into lush mountain birch forest.

From the top of the hike you can breathe a sigh of relief and look out over Rödfjället, Skenörsfjället, Vättafjället, Vigelskaftet and many more.

Vandring Hamrafjallet

Flower path

An easy and peaceful walk that is well signposted and guides you to rare flowers and orchids. Here you can also hear many birds such as warblers and chaffinches, accompanied by the eternal babbling of the Hagrun stream.

A lovely tour through mountain birch forest and over open bogs. You move at an altitude of about 800 meters and get beautiful views of Tännån, Tänndalssjön and Rödfjället. Here you literally breathe in the chlorophyll at the foot of the flower mountain Hamrafjället and get an encounter with Härjedalen's unique flora. Around 50 flowers grow here, which are shown by the Tänndalen village association's educational signs with photos and text.

In June you can see the golden spirea here, a species that only thrives in the southern mountain range, while July is the richest time, which depends on temperature and rainfall. Many plants bloom well into August, but the most unusual orchids bloom for a shorter period. Some of the species you can see here are mountain violet, black hay, orchids such as mountain spirea, blood spirea, larkspur and virgin mary spirea. Also spireas such as golden spirea, northern spirea, lapp spirea and king charles spirea bloom then.

You will walk alternately on a gravel road, a dry path, wet ground with bridges, and in wet weather the path may be wet.

Vandring Familj

Hamra Mountains

Hamrafjället's 1,137 meters above sea level. Here you look out over the nature reserve and the surrounding mountains that extend far into Norway.

Climb the flower mountain, whose chalky soils and bare mountain environment are a perfect habitat for several hundred species. On the southern slope there are also thousand-year-old burial mounds and trap pit systems. At the turn of the century there were many living sättärs. On the marshlands, many orchids grow in high summer.

Signs with Hamraleden show the steep path up to the bare mountain, and further along a flatter slope with wide views the rest of the way to the top. Here you look out over the mountain world with peaks in all directions: Skarsfjället, Helags, Sylarna, Rödfjället, Vättafjället and Storvigeln.

Continue the path west to Kjölvejen where the path takes you down to Sydbrantstigen, turn left to hike back into beautiful mountain birch forest along the foot of Hamrafjället. During August you will encounter tall herbs such as torta, Nordic storm hat and giant mountain water lily along the slopes.
